  19. Internet Multimedia enables real-time voice and data over the Internet.
  20. This includes the ability for two people to talk, to leave a voice message,
  21. to view and illustrate a whiteboard, and to chat- all over a standard connection.

  23. The program uses voice compression to enable real time conversations which
  24. can be combined with chatting (text), and graphical interaction
  25. (scribbling and sending captures screen images) thus creating a communication
  26. medium of multiple media over the Internet (IMultimedia).
  27.  
  28. IRC support allows you to establish a connection with any other IMultimedia
  29. user logged in to an IRC server. In other words, this allows you to talk /
  30. Chat / Scribble with other people all over the world by just clicking on a
  31. name from a list of users who have logged in to this service.

  33. The following communications features are supported in this version:
  34.  
  35. - Chat: enables you to exchange short text messages with a remote user.
  36.  
  37. - Answering machine: enables you to leave a voice message on a remote host.
  38.  
  39. - Voice communications (telephone): Real-time Voice enables you to talk to
  40.   another person over the Internet and can be used in conjunction with
  41.   the other features.

  43. - Scribble: multi-user drawing program you can use to sketch (scribble) an
  44.   organization chart, draw a diagram,  and perform similar tasks. You can also
  45.   get a "snapshot" of an area of your screen and then paste it and send it to
  46.   a remote host.

  49. To use the program, you must establish a connection over the Internet with
  50. another user who is also using Internet Multimedia.

  52. Installation:

  55. Create a temporary directory and place the  Zipped file in it. Pkunzip program
  56. and then run setup.

  59. System Requirements:

  63. Internet Multimedia requires the following minimum software and hardware
  64. requirements to run successfully:
  65.  
  66. - Window 95
  67. - Windows 95 Audio codecs.
  68. - PPP and / or Slip Internet account
  69. - 486 DX2 66 MHz
  70. - 8 Mbytes of RAM
  71. - V34 modem (28.8 kbit/s). The program will run on a V32bis modem (14.4 kbit/s)
  72.   but delays will be experienced.
  73. - Sound Card
  74. - Microphone
  75. - Loudspeakers or earphones

  78. If you don't have a sound card or a microphone, you can still use all the none
  79. voice features in this program (Chat and Scribble).

  111. The registration fee for this program is only US$ 15. The Unregistered Version
  112. will work for 30 days and will give you full access to all the features in
  113. IMultimedia with the exception of Talk. When you use Talk, you will be disconnected
  114. after approximately three minutes, and you will be allowed to connect back
  115. after one minute.

  117. You must register the program if you wish to use it beyond the 30 day trial period,
  118. otherwise you will be in breach of the license agreement.

  120. If you register, you will receive through e-mail a program that will unlock your
  121. unregistered version, or a full program if you don't have an exiting demo.

  123. Your registration entitles you for two licenses so that two users can use the
  124. program to communicate with each other.

  126. Registration also entitles you for free future upgrades and unlimited support
  127. through e-mail.
